Premier B school graduates with a concentration in Human Resource management should have the best job prospects. Some of the highest paying skills associated with this job are in the areas of Performance Management, Organizational Development, Training and Generalist duties. The average salary of an HR manager may range in between INR 5.5 lacs p.a to INR 6.0 lacs p.a.
Education and Training
To become a Human Resource professional it is preferred to have a relevant tertiary qualification such as a Diploma in HR or Industrial psychology or a degree majoring in HR management post graduation. An MBA carries the most weight among most degree programs.
Graduate degree programs with a major in Human resource offer deep learning opportunities, but tend to focus more on theory than practical skills. A prior work experience to learn about recruitment, compensation, training and employee welfare is a good start to head for this profession.
